KIParla Corpus

Founder and co-coordinator

KIParla is a corpus of spoken Italian built collaboratively across the Universities of Bologna and Turin. Its modular and incremental architecture allows new places, speakers and communicative situations to be added over time, preserving variation as a central dimension of the resource rather than treating it as noise.

The corpus brings together aligned transcripts, audio and rich speaker and interaction metadata. Stable module releases and documentation are deposited in CLARIN, while GitHub hosts the evolving repositories and technical materials.
